What We’re Looking For

Far West Magazine celebrates the spirit of the West, and we’re looking for content that embodies its beauty, strength, and unique culture. We accept the following submissions:

• Photography: We highlight Western-style photography, from portrait and landscape to fashion and documentary. We're looking for creative, original work that tells a story and captures the essence of the West.

• Articles: We are also seeking written content to feature alongside our visual work. Articles can range from personal essays and interviews to features about Western culture, lifestyle, and the creative process. Get inspired by some of the article inspiration here.

  Note: You don’t have to be an experienced writer to submit! We work with content writers who can help refine and polish your ideas!

• Short Stories and Visual Art: In addition to photography and articles, we welcome submissions of short stories and other forms of visual art that represent the West’s culture and spirit.

How to Submit

To submit your work, please email your submission to farwestmag@gmail.com or visit our Submissions page and follow these steps:

1. Upload Your Photography: Submit your high-resolution images (JPEG or TIFF) along with a short description or concept behind your work.

2. Submit Your Article: You can submit your article as a document, along with a brief bio and any relevant links.

3. Fill Out the Submission Form: Provide your contact information and a brief description of your work to help us better understand your submission.

Submission Guidelines

• Image Size & Format: Please submit high-resolution images (300 DPI for print quality) in JPEG or TIFF format.

• Multiple Submissions: You can submit multiple pieces of work, but please submit them separately.

• Previously Published Work: We accept work that has been published elsewhere, as long as it aligns with our magazine’s vision.

What Happens After You Submit?

Far West Magazine operates on a rolling submission basis. If your work is selected for publication, we will reach out to you directly with further details, deadlines, and any additional materials needed. We aim to showcase the freshest perspectives and voices, so whether you’re a seasoned photographer or a new creator, we encourage you to submit your work!
